Most PowerLung users find they stay with the model they start with because the range of resistance. Each model allows adaptation of PowerLung training to your activity or training program for your continued growth within the lifestyle for which the model is intended.
Choose the AireStream to help you make healthy lifestyle changes. The AireStream will also help you quit smoking and help you be more active to lose weight and breathe easier.
The AireStream is great for stretching or warming up the breathing muscles before any activity and cooling down afterward.
This is the next step up in PowerLung models. The level of resistance begins where the AireStream model leaves off and increases to the lowest level of the Trainer model.
If you are just beginning to be moderately active, but not involved in athletics or in a formal exercise program then this is the model for you.
If you are looking to breathe better and are moderately active, working out 2-3 days a week, in low intensity exercise programs like walking, fitness swimming, yoga or pilates this is the model you want.
Resistance training in this model is the highest level of resistance in breathing training for most people. The Trainer model is the most appropriate for those who are looking to improve performance in sports or other rigorous activity.
Resistance in this model begins at and slightly overlaps the highest level of the BreatheAir model and just reaches the lowest level of the Sport model but does not overlap at all.
The Sport Model offers the highest levels of resistance available in a PowerLung.
The resistance controls on this model do not adjust lower to include the resistance of any other models.
The Trainer model's higher level of resistance is meant for those who are in good shape and exercising or training at high levels of intensity or endurance and want to improve their performance through strengthening their breathing.
It is meant for those people who are active in regular, rigorous activity, running, cycling or other sports that require good breath and breathing technique for performance advantage.
Only elite athletes and those who are in great physical condition on the level of a Navy Seal should consider the Sport Model.
This model is not meant for the casual user or even those who activity is moderate to high.'
