1996 Rowing Achievements

  • Represented VLC at the Buffalo Regatta in East London, February, winner of the Grand Challenge Trophy.
  • Represented VLC at the SA Championships, April, winning three gold medals.
  • Represented Trident Rowing Club, traveling abroad as part of NOCSA?s Operation Excellence Programme, May/June. Represented South Africa in the Lightweight single scull in Mannheim, Duisberg (Germany), Lucerne (Switzerland).
  • Selected as Reserve for the South African rowing Team to represent SA at the Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia, USA in June/July.
